The Knick Knack Nook Re-Use It Store Society aims to foster environmental responsibility through both action and education. Each year, it awards bursary monies to post-secondary students with ties to Bowen who are studying toward careers in support of environmental sustainability. The Knick Knack Nook has partnered with the Bowen Island Community Foundation for support in managing the application and selection process, and in issuing the bursary cheques.
