New Community Prosperity Fund Announced

Are You Working toward Poverty Reduction and/or Social Inclusion on Bowen Island?

The Community Prosperity Fund is a new $25 million fund made possible through the Stronger Community Services Fund from the Government of BC. This fund will provide multi-year operational grants for charities and non-profits addressing poverty reduction and social inclusion across the province. These awards will be distributed by BC community foundations, including the Bowen Island Community Foundation (BICF).

Eligibility

The Community Prosperity Fund will accept applications from:

  • Non-profit organizations, Indigenous governing bodies, or registered charities located in BC that provide services to communities within BC;
  • Organizations working toward poverty reduction.

Timeline

March 2024: Full eligibility criteria announced and applications opened.
May 2024: Applications close.
Late spring 2024: Assessments and final decisions communicated.
