Do you believe in giving back? Are you the person who pitches in, lends a hand, and makes Bowen a better place? The Bowen Island Legion, Branch 150, is offering five $1,000 scholarships in 2026 to islanders pursuing post-secondary education or training. Whether you’re heading to school for the first time or returning to learn something new, if community service is an important part of who you are, this scholarship is for you.
Eligibility: Applicants may be of any age, including recent high school graduates or individuals returning to school to retrain for a new career, and may be enrolled in any year of their program. To be eligible, applicants must be a Bowen Island resident, and demonstrate a strong commitment to community service.
To apply: Please submit a one-page letter of interest. Include your contact information, your intended program information, length of program and year enrolled. Please include a brief summary of your community service activities, highlighting meaningful contributions.
Improperly prepared applications will not be considered.
