Do you like to keep your eye on the bottom line but your heart in the community? So do we—and so do former Foundation chair Soren Hammerberg and his wife, Elizabeth. In 2023, the Hammerbergs generously gifted $100,000 to endow the Friends of the Foundation Fund, which intends to eventually offset 100 percent of the Foundation’s fixed costs. This open fund welcomes contributions large and small from anyone and serves as a perpetual financial resource for the Foundation. As the endowment grows, the Foundation can dedicate more of its annual budget to grants for community initiatives, scholarships for students, and bursaries for those in need.
