Weather permitting, the view from the April 27th workshop at the Tunstall Bay Clubhouse. Fingers crossed!

There is much more to writing a successful grant application than having a great project and a likely grant source. The Bowen Island Community Foundation and the Community School Association are again partnering to offer a Grant Writing Workshop — on Saturday, April 27th, 2013 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m at the Tunstall Bay Clubhouse, 1654 Tunstall Blvd, Bowen Island.

Joyce Ganong from the Bowen Island Community Foundation will present the workshop, bringing her deep experience of writing and analyzing grant applications through her work in the public and not-for-profit sectors. This will  be a true workshop, where participants will practice each step and get a chance to learn from others.  It is ideal (but not necessary) that you come with:

  • a project in mind that needs funding; and
  • a possible grant source.

Cost:  $25 which includes lunch.

Register: Call Joyce Ganong at 947 2802 or Sarah Haxby at BICS at 947 9337. If you leave a message, please include your full name, your email address, and your telephone number.  We will call you back to confirm.
